Bohemians can go back to the top of the table if they overcome UCD at Dalymount Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Bohemians boss Pat Fenlon has a strong squad to choose from for tonight's clash and welcomes back a fully fit Jason Byrne back into the attack.

Defender Ken Oman and midfielder Mark Rossiter also return to the Gypsies squad.

Fenlon said: “UCD are a difficult side to play against. They have caused problems for all the so-called bigger sides down the years and, though the expectations of the supporters may be high.

“I foresee a competitive encounter. UCD have pace up front and wide on the right and that is something we have to be wary of.”

UCD are without defenders Alan Mahon, Brian Shortall and Ian Bermingham, while boss Pete Mahon must also plan without midfielder Brian King who is also ruled out.

Midfielder Shane Fitzgerald and striker Paul Byrne will both face late fitness tests ahead of the trip to Dalymount.

Mahon said: “We're going to give some of our younger players a chance.

“We haven't got that many choices. It's not the ideal situation to put young players into a game like this but it happened last season with Ian Bermingham up in the Brandywell and he played a stormer that day.”
