Wanderers looking to secure mid-table spot

Bray Wanderers will be looking to secure mid-table safety when they take on bottom side Galway United at the Carlisle Grounds, kick-off 7.45pm.

Eddie Gormley's side appeared to be safe from relegation trouble but a recent dip in form could see Wanderers dragged back into the danger zone.

New signing Daryl Robson is likely to make his debut for Bray, although Gormley will have to do without influential skipper Alan Cawley who is suspended.

Also missing are midfielder Dane Massey, who tore ligaments against Bohemians in midweek, along with long-term absentee Colm Tresson.

Gormley said: "Its going to be tough. I expect a real battle and we will need to play like we did in the last half hour against Bohemians.

"If we do that, we will be ok."

Shane Tracy returns to the Galway squad after a loan spell at Limerick 37, while manager Jeff Kenna and assistant Ian Foster may make their competitive debuts for the club as they battle for survival.

Alan Keane will not make the trip to Bray as he is serving a suspension.

Kenna said: "My conditioning is good and I've played competitively at Conference level up until a couple of months ago.

"With our current lack of strength in depth it now makes sense to make myself available to play."
