Bohs go five points clear
Finn Harps 0 Bohemians 2
Goals from skipper Owen Heary and Jason Byrne eased Bohemians five points clear at the top of the eircom Premier Division table tonight, keeping Finn Harps rooted in the relegation zone.
Bohs dominated from the off. Neal Fenn set up Glen Crowe to bring a save out of Gavin Cullen on nine minutes in what was very much a sign of things to come.
The pressure soon told as Bohs took the lead on 23 minutes. Cullen could only parry a shot from Crowe after good work by Glen Cronin and Heary blasted the ball into the roof of the net.
Crowe should have doubled Bohs' lead on the half hour but shot against a post after the busy Cullen had pushed away a drive from John Paul Kelly.
Injury-hit Harps improved in the second half, but couldn't find an equaliser.
Bohs then stole a second goal in the final minute. A combination of Shaun Williams and Cullen pulled striker Fenn to the ground inside the area and substitute Byrne shot home the spot kick with his first touch of the game.
