Hamburg to play Man City

Hamburg have confirmed they will play Manchester City at home in a pre-season friendly on July 26.

Former Hamburg striker Emile Mpenza could return to his old hunting ground if he is in new boss Mark Hughes’ squad.

Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg have also announced they will play Serie A outfit Palermo on August 12, while Bayern Munich will face Italian champions Internazionale on August 5.

Schalke have organised friendlies against Turkish side Besiktas and the Bahrain national team.
