Champions Manchester United will begin their Premier League title defence at home to Newcastle on August 16.

Alex Ferguson’s side, who pipped Chelsea to the title last season and also beat the Stamford Bridge club in the Champions League final, close the campaign with a trip to face Coca-Cola Championships play-off final winners Hull on May 24.
