The Cottagers boss – who masterminded a remarkable escape from relegation following his appointment in December – has promised a string of new faces before the start of a season in which he intends to establish Fulham as a mid-table side after two years fighting the drop.

Andranik, 25, who has nine international caps, joined Wanderers in 2006 and featured in their UEFA Cup run last season. He has signed a two-year deal with Fulham.

Yesterday, Hodgson brought in Hungary midfielder Zoltan Gera from West Brom and had already landed veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer on a free from Middlesbrough, and back-up stopper David Stockdale, who joined for a small fee from League Two side Darlington.
