Adams agrees new Pompey deal

Tony Adams has agreed a new one-year deal to stay with FA Cup winners Portsmouth as assistant manager.

The former Arsenal and England star, Pompey boss Harry Redknapp’s right-hand man, has succumbed to the lure of UEFA Cup football next season and put on hold his ambitions to become a manager in his own right for at least another 12 months.
