Rangers have confirmed the sale of striker Filip Sebo to French club Valenciennes for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old Slovakian enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Ligue 1 club - who are managed by former Aberdeen defender Toni Kombouare – scoring four goals this season.

Consequently, Sebo earned a a permanent deal at the Stade Nungesser club, thus ending his near two-year association with the Light Blues.

Despite only scoring twice for Rangers in 33 appearances after former manager Paul Le Guen signed him from Austria Vienna in 2006 for £1.8m, Sebo became a cult figure at Ibrox due to his boundless enthusiasm.

However, Le Guen’s successor Walter Smith allowed the Slovakian to go out on a year’s loan to Valenciennes.
