Valencia appoint Emery
Valencia have reached an agreement with Unai Emery to become their new coach, the Primera Liga club announced on Thursday.
Emery, who had been in charge of Almeria, takes over the position vacated by Voro Gonzalez, who had been in temporary control since Ronald Koeman was sacked last month.
Valencia confirmed the appointment in a statement on their website, which read: “Valencia have reached an agreement with Unai Emery who from July 1 will be the new coach of the first team for the next two seasons.”
Emery will be officially presented at the Mestalla on Friday night at 2000 local time.
