All to play for in UCD-United clash

A real six-pointer takes place at The UCD Bowl tonight as UCD take on bottom side Galway United, kick-off 7.45pm.

Pete Mahon's students will be looking to close on the mid-table sides, while new Galway boss Jeff Kenna is still looking for his first league win of the season.

UCD must plan without centre-half Brian Shortall as he is suspended.

Shane Fitzgerald is also set to miss out for the Students, while Conor Kenna picked up a knock playing for Ireland's under-23 side during the week and is a doubt ahead of tonight's game.

Derek O'Brien and Stephen O'Flynn will face late fitness tests for Galway.

O'Brien who is still recovering from a heavily bruised ankle and O'Flynn is still struggling with a groin injury.

Kenna is looking to install stability in his squad and will be looking for a win when the Tribesmen take to the field in Belfield.

He said: "We have finally started picking up points over the last few weeks and with UCD in the bottom half of the table we will be looking to get our first win on the board.

"UCD have done well over the last few weeks and on their turf it won't be easy but we're really looking forward to it."

United have the same ongoing injury woes with Daryl Robson (ankle), Ciaran Foley (shin splints), Alan Keane (knee) and John Lester (achilles) all out.
