Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is confident Wayne Rooney will be fit for the Champions League final with Chelsea on May 21 even if he does not make Sunday’s title crunch at Wigan.
Rooney has missed two games, including the victory over Barcelona, after suffering a recurrence of a hip injury in the defeat at Chelsea last month.
