Kenna hoping to continue good streak with Galway
New Galway United boss Jeff Kenna will be keen to make it three games unbeaten as they entertain fellow strugglers Finn Harps at Terryland Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
Kenna is hoping for more of the same against a Finn Harps side that have struggled recently in the league and have not scored in their last seven matches.
“We’ve had decent results in the last couple of games, so we are looking to build on this success and hopefully record a win,” said Kenna.
United have the same ongoing injury woes with Daryl Robson (ankle), Ciaran Foley (shin splints), Alan Keane (knee) and John Lester (achilles) all out.
Harps will still be without the injured duo of Gary Beckett and Jonathan Minnock.
Stephen Parkhouse is back in training and could be included in the squad, while Tony Shields played a role in each of the last two games and looks set to start in the central midfield.
Boss Paul Hegarty watched the tribesmen in Sligo on Tuesday night and was impressed by Jeff Kenna's side.
He said: "They showed great heart and after a 0-0 draw in Derry last week, they are improving.
“I saw them three weeks ago, also in Sligo, and they done well that night to begin with.
“A bit like ourselves though, their heads went down when they lost the first goal and they were beaten 3-0."
Hegarty will serve the last of his four-game touchline ban tonight.
