Eoin Hand looks forward to Trappatoni's reign

Former Ireland manager Eoin Hand, has expressed his views on the recent appointment of Giovanni Trappatoni saying that the Italian's vision gives Irish supporters genuine grounds for optimism.

Now an RTE pundit, Hand has been impressed by the Italian's first few days in the job and believes the pool of players matched with the new managers track record means we are in with a fighting chance of making it to the next world cup.
