Koeman primed for Hungary job

The Hungarian Football Federation are expected to name Erwin Koeman as their new national team coach at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hungarian Football Federation are expected to name Erwin Koeman as their new national team coach at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

The 46-year-old Dutchman will replace Peter Varhidi, whose contract as coach has expired, although it is thought he will take up another role within the Federation.

Koeman, brother of recently ousted Valencia coach Ronald, has previous coaching experience in his homeland with RKC Waalwijk and Feyenoord.
