Ronaldinho out for six weeks

Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho has been ruled out for six weeks with a thigh injury, the club have confirmed.

The 28-year-old limped out of training on Thursday evening and also missed the session on Friday morning, and scans on Friday afternoon confirmed the Brazilian had suffered a pull in the adductor of his right thigh.

With just eight games left in the Primera Liga season, Ronaldinho will miss the bulk of the remaining matches.

It would also mean the Brazilian would miss the Champions League semi-finals, which could yet be against Ronaldinho’s former suitors Manchester United.

This season has seen a dip in form from the former World Player of the Year, with many fans calling for him to leave.
