Shamrock Rovers out to protect unbeaten start

Shamrock Rovers will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season for tonight's Dublin derby with arch rivals Bohemians at Tolka Park, kick-off 8.00pm.

It's a case of second plays fourth with both sides looking to maintain the pressure on St Patrick's Athletic at the top of the table.

Pat Scully must plan without Pat Flynn who remains suspended, while Chris Mulhall is out with a cartilage injury.

Aidan Price and Padraig Amond are both on the mend but will not feature against Bohemians.

"There should be a big crowd at the game on Friday," said Scully.

"We've been playing really well and we're looking forward to this game with great confidence.

"This is a big game. There's a massive rivalry between the two clubs and I'm sure that the atmosphere, passion and colour will show off the eircom League at its best.

"But I'll be telling our players to concentrate on their performance and forget about the crowd and the atmosphere. Once we do that I would be very confident of victory."

Bohemians are still missing Neale Fenn and Thomas Heary through injury, while Killian Brennan is out through suspension.

Club captain Kevin Hunt is still out with a broken foot while John Paul Kelly is a doubt as he has been struggling with a virus.

Glen Cronin should be involved as he returns from a hamstring problem.
