Shamrock Rovers will be hoping to continue their fine start to the season when they entertain Cork City at Tolka Park tonight, kick-off 8.00pm.

Long-term casualties Aidan Price and Padraig Amond, together with midfielder Chris Mulhall, are definitely ruled out for Rovers, while striker Tadhg Purcell is suspended.

“Chris developed a knee injury in training during the week,” explained Hoops boss, Pat Scully.

“He'll be going for a scan and will probably be out for a couple of weeks.”

Sean O’Connor, who impressed greatly during his competitive debut last week, has a knock but boss Pat Scully is confident that he will be fit.

Scully added: “Other than that, Sean O'Connor skipped training as a result of a back problem. But it's a precautionary measure and we expect he'll be okay to play.”

The Rebel Army travel to Tolka Park with almost a full squad, with Gareth Farrelly (knee) and Billy Woods (ankle) the only players missing.

New signing Pat Sullivan returns from suspension and is in line to make his competitive debut for the Leesiders.
