Kit farce delays kick off

St Pat's showed their title credentials tonight as they came from behind to win in style at Richmond Park.

A farcical row over a clash of kit delayed the start for 32 minutes, with Sligo eventually having to wear St Pat's away gear.

Rovers then stunned the expectant home crowd to take the lead on 26 minutes.

Chris Butler and Conor O'Grady were involved with the latter, captain for the day in place of the banned Gavin Peers, putting Jamie McKenzie in on goal to round Barry Ryan and slide the ball home.

Jamie Harris levelled with a header on 58 minutes before Ryan Guy added a second on 65 to put a dominant Saints side in front seven minutes later.

Within a two minutes, Guy ended the match as a contest with Saints' third goal as they took an early lead at the top of the table.
