Scholes and Tevez on the bench for United

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson rang the changes for this crucial Champions League match against Lyon at Old Trafford.

Even though his side triumphed 3-0 at Fulham on Saturday, he decided to shuffle his pack in dramatic fashion.

Ferguson made no less than six changes with the game locked at 1-1 after the first leg and a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Anderson, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher all returned to the starting line-up.

Argentina striker Carlos Tevez, who scored a late equaliser in the first leg, had to settle for a place on the bench.
