Wexford Youths to unveil new pink jersey tonight

Wexford Youths FC will unveil their new away jersey for the 2008 season at home to Shamrock Rovers in tonight's pre-season friendly at Ferrycarrig Park - a bright pink strip.

Wexford Youths FC owner and manager Mick Wallace wants to brighten up the league with the effeminate jersey.

"We're trying to bring a bit of brightness to the league - sure we're a bit different anyway," he said.

"It's also an open challenge to the sad macho element in Irish society."
