Weather hits Championship fixtures

The wintery weather conditions across the country have taken their toll on tonight’s Football League programme, with six of the planned 10 matches already postponed.

In the Coca-Cola Championship Sheffield Wednesday’s match against Coventry has gone and League One promotion hopefuls Carlisle and Nottingham Forest must wait once more to face each other in a match delayed for the second time.

Rochdale have suffered another postponement, with their match against Notts County falling foul, while Stockport v Mansfield and Darlington v Chester are also off.

Grimsby’s visit to Notts County then became the sixth fixture to fail an inspection.

No new dates have yet been announced.
