Tottenham could do their north London rivals Arsenal a favour after Dimitar Berbatov gave Spurs a 1-0 half-time lead over Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Juande Ramos’ side opened the scoring in the 21st minute after Robbie Keane played Jermaine Jenas through and his surging run was halted in the penalty area by Owen Hargreaves.
