United starlet Manucho to spend season in Greece

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Manucho will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Panathinaikos.

The 24-year-old Angola striker will join the Greek club after the African Nations Cup.

Ferguson said: “We have farmed him out to Panathinaikos for the rest of the season as he will get games there.

“They have a Portuguese coach (Jose Peseiro) and as Manucho speaks Portuguese, it is comfortable for him. Then we will apply for a work permit in the summer.”
