Fernandes completes Everton loan switch

Everton have completed the loan signing of Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park, joins the Toffees from Valencia.

He underwent a medical with the Merseyside club yesterday but has not received international clearance in time for today’s Barclays Premier League clash with Manchester City.

His debut could come against Wigan next weekend.
