Smith to ring the changes at Rangers

Rangers manager Walter Smith is set to make several changes to his squad for Sunday’s Tennent’s Scottish Cup tie against East Stirling.

Youngsters John Fleck, Dean Furman and Giorgos Efrem could all make their first team debuts against the Third Division club.

The fourth round tie could also provide a run-out for fringe players such as Alan Gow and Kirk Broadfoot who have been on the periphery of the squad for much of the season.

Steven Naismith is fit again having been a doubt for the midweek Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against St Mirren with a knee injury.

Provisional squad: Smith, Whittaker, Cuellar, Ehiogu, Papac, Burke, Gow, Thomson, Naismith, Boyd, Novo, McGregor, Broadfoot, Buffel, Adam, Fleck, Furman, Efrem.
