Hargreaves doubtful for Newcastle clash

Owen Hargreaves is a doubt for Manchester United’s Old Trafford clash with Newcastle tomorrow.

The England midfielder sustained a rib injury in training yesterday and although manager Alex Ferguson has not given up hope of the former Bayern Munich man being involved, he will leave the decision as late as possible.

Louis Saha should recover from a minor knock but Gary Neville will not be considered as a replacement for suspended defender Wes Brown, even though the United captain began his comeback from a long-standing ankle problem in the reserves at Everton on Wednesday.
