The 28-year-old will be a free agent later this month when his contract with K-League club Suwon Samsung Bluewings expires.

"If he is ready, he will have a trial," Sanchez told Seoul daily Sports Khan.

"The report that Fulham have offered Song Chung-guk a trial is correct. We have been in contact with his agent and we hope to have a trial next week."

Song can play at right-back or on the right side of midfield and has experience of playing in Europe after three seasons with Feyenoord following a string of impressive performances at the 2002 World Cup.

"We are thinking about signing a full-back during the winter transfer window and Song Chong-guk could fit the bill," added Sanchez.

"The faster he has a trial the better, It will be good if he comes to England soon."
