Torres return expected by Reds

Striker Fernando Torres is expected to be restored to Liverpool’s starting line-up for tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off against Newcastle at St James’ Park.

The Reds’ record signing, a goalscoring substitute against Fulham a fortnight ago, remained at the club’s Melwood training ground to build up his fitness from an adductor injury rather than join up with Spain for the recent internationals.
