Inter rule out Adriano exit

Internazionale have dismissed speculation linking Brazil striker Adriano with a move away from the San Siro in the January transfer window.

Internazionale have dismissed speculation linking Brazil striker Adriano with a move away from the San Siro in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Inter over the past two seasons and has fallen down the pecking order at the Nerazzurri.

But even though he has hardly figured under Roberto Mancini this term, Inter president Massimo Moratti is not interested in selling a player once considered one of the world’s best.

“Adriano will remain at Inter in January,” said Moratti.

“I can rule out now any talk of his departure.”

Adriano has been linked with a number of clubs in England as well as Sao Paulo, Flamengo and Santos in his homeland.
