Stoke clinch Cort loan deal
Stoke have completed the signing of Crystal Palace defender Leon Cort on an initial two-month loan deal.
The deal for the 28-year-old is expected to be made permanent in January after both club’s agreed a fee.
Cort becomes Potters boss Tony Pulis’ second signing in 24 hours following the loan capture of Danny Pugh and is set to go into the squad to face Coventry on Saturday.
Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told the club’s official website, www.stokecityfc.co.uk: “I am delighted that the deal to bring Leon to the Potteries has now been completed.
“We were very keen to tie him up in time for the Coventry match (on Saturday) and we have done just that.”
Pulis added: “Leon is a great signing for this football club and he brings more quality to the squad. He will add depth to the team and I am absolutely delighted to have got him here.”
