Blues need three points, Galway safe

Waterford United take on Galway United in tonight's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at the RSC, kick-off 7.45pm.

Galway are virtually safe while the Blues will need all three points if they are to avoid automatic relegation.

Blues boss Gareth Cronin is hopeful of having Vinny Sullivan back for the game after the striker was forced out of last Friday’s clash with Drogheda just moments before kick-off when he picked up a thigh injury.

However, Karl Bermingham, who replaced Sullivan in the starting line-up last Friday, is back on the treatment table with a recurrence of the ankle injury that had kept him out of the side for over a month.

Daryl Kavanagh is Waterford's only other absentee as he is out with a broken leg.

Galway welcome back central defender John Fitzgerald after a knee injury forced him to sit out the win over Derry City.

John Russell is back after suspension but Daryl Robson is ruled out with a foot injury that forced him out of the game last Friday only four minutes after coming on as a sub.

Greg O'Halloran is ruled out due to a one-match suspension.
