Bassett joins Wise at Leeds

Leeds boss Dennis Wise has installed Dave Bassett as his new number two at Elland Road.

Bassett, who has worked with Wise at Wimbledon, Leicester and Southampton, has signed a fixed-term contract until the end of the season.

He replaces Gus Poyet who joined Tottenham as assistant manager to new boss Juande Ramos.
