Naismith cup-tied for Motherwell game
Rangers striker Steven Naismith misses the CIS Insurance Cup quarter-final against Motherwell as he is cup-tied after playing for Kilmarnock earlier in the competition.
Midfielder Brahim Hemdani (groin) and striker Jean-Claude Darcheville (hamstring) must also sit out tomorrow’s match but should be fit to face Inverness on Saturday.
Centre-back Ugo Ehiogu and wide midfielder Chris Burke are both included in the squad but manager Walter Smith is only expected to make a couple of changes to the side beaten at Dundee United on Sunday.
Provisional squad: McGregor, Hutton, Cuellar, Weir, Papac, McCulloch, Ferguson, Thomson, Adam, Cousin, Beasley, Novo, Carroll, Boyd, Faye, Whittaker, Lennon, Ehiogu, Burke.
