Hoops pair out as McLeish ponders plans

Scotland manager Alex McLeish was forced to drop injured Paul Hartley and Gary Caldwell from his plans for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia today.

The already anticipated news could be followed by one or two additional call-ups, but McLeish’s squad is still 22 strong and the former Rangers boss may decide that is large enough.
