Farrelly and O'Flynn fit to play for Cork City
Cork City's Gareth Farrelly has recovered from a hamstring injury to play in tonight's clash against Shamrock Rovers at Turners Cross.
John O’Flynn, who was substituted with a groin strain in the same fixture, is also fit to play.
Colin Healy returns from a one-match suspension, meaning that Darragh Ryan (pelvic injury) is the only absentee, giving manager Damien Richardson a pleasant selection headache.
"This particular fixture between two of the great clubs of Irish professional football is indicative of the healthy and exciting future of Irish football," said Richardson about the tie against the club he both played for and managed.
"Shamrock Rovers are back in the top echelons of the league, while Cork City are on the crest of a good run.
"This game has all the ingredients to be a most entertaining affair, with a big crowd and a wonderful atmosphere."
He added: "From Cork City’s point of view, this is the most important game of the season, and a victory is important for both clubs. I think we will see this reflected in the performance of both teams."
Rovers are without the suspended Barry Murphy and Paul Shiels, but other than the long-term injured Aidan Price and Padraig Amond, the Hoops will be at full-strength.
Danny O'Connor returns after serving his one-match suspension, while goalkeeping coach Stephen O'Brien makes a return to Pat Scully's squad for the trip to Leeside.
"While we'll miss Barry and Paul, the good news is that everyone else is available," said Hoops boss Scully.
"Stephen O'Brien has a slight ankle problem but should be fit to play.
"Last Tuesday's game is gone and we're now determined to go to Cork and show what we're capable of. We're really looking forward to it after the defeat in Bray."
