Few injury worries for Cork and Waterford managers

Cork City entertain Waterford United in tonight's FAI Ford Cup quarter-final replay at Turner's Cross (kick-off 7.45pm).

For City, John O’Flynn has trained as normal and provided he does not suffer any reaction to the groin strain which had been troubling him, he will be available for selection.

Darragh Ryan (pelvis) is the only definite absentee, and he looks set to be out for another week or two.

"It is important that we make home advantage count in this tie, and that will require a good level of concentration from each and every player,” said City boss Damien Richardson.

"The prize on offer is a big one. A cup semi-final is a great incentive for the players on both sides."

Waterford manager Gareth Cronin remains in upbeat form as he travels to Cork for the replay.

Cronin welcomes back Paul McCarthy after he had to sit out Saturday evening’s one-all draw at the RSC.

With no injury worries following the drawn game, Cronin is looking forward to facing his former club tonight.

"I thought the lads were immense on Saturday night," said Cronin.

"They played so well as a team, created a lot of good chances and they deserved to win the game.

"We are still very much in with a shout in this game and I know Cork will be big favourites but we have had to face replays in every round of the cup this season so one more doesn’t bother us."
