Welcome distraction for strugglers Longford

Longford Town can forget about their relegation battle as they entertain Limerick 37 at Flancare Park in tonight’s FAI Ford Cup quarter-final (kick-off 7.30pm).

Town will be boosted by the return of top-scorer Dave Mooney as he returns from suspension.

Ian Ryan, Colin James and Sean Kelly are all cup-tied for the home side as they attempt to regain their name as cup specialists.

Ross Cosgrave is suspended for the visitors, as he was sent off against Douglas Hall earlier in the competition.
