Gunners lead at break with Fabregas strike

Arsenal took a first-half lead against Sevilla in tonight’s Champions League clash through an own goal from Julien Escude at the Emirates Stadium.

Cesc Fabregas saw his shot wickedly deflected past the Sevilla goalkeeper as the hosts got a break after 27 minutes following a spell of sustained pressure.

The Spaniards – making their debut in the Champions League – looked lively and caused some concern for the Arsenal defence on the counter attack.
