Lopez primed for Villarreal debut

Spain international full-back Angel Lopez is hoping to make his first appearance for Villarreal since his summer move from Celta Vigo when they take on BATE Borisov on Thursday .

Villarreal are without Joan Capdevila and Josemi through suspension, and Angel could step in.

“If those two full-backs cannot play, then there is no-one left to play but me,” he joked.

“I have not yet spoken with the coach, and he has not confirmed anything. But the truth is that for a while now I have had high hopes and the desire to make my debut with this club.”
