Kuyt goal means Reds are level at the break

Liverpool came back from a truly shocking opening spell to claw themselves level by the break against Porto.

The hosts threatened to overrun Liverpool in early exchanges which saw last season’s beaten Champions League finalists struggling desperately.

Porto deservedly went ahead on just eight minutes with a penalty from captain Lucho Gonzalez, but Dirk Kuyt struck with a close-range header to get Liverpool to the break on equal terms.
