Longford shock Rovers with last-minute winner
Shamrock Rovers 0 Longford Town 1
Dave Mooney scored a sensational late winner to keep Longford's hopes of escaping relegation on course.
Alan Mathews' side, 13 points adrift six weeks ago, are now only a point behind second-bottom Waterford.
The goal came on 91 minutes when Mooney, a Rovers fan and former player, latched onto a loose pass to race in and slip the ball past Barry Murphy in the Rovers' goal.
Longford keeper Shay Kelly had kept them in the match with superb saves from Andy Myler and David Cassidy.
