Baker doubtful for Drogs, Galway wait on duo
Drogheda United can go eleven points clear at the top of the eircom League of Ireland Premier Division if they beat Galway United at United Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
Richie Baker is a doubt for the home side as he is carrying a hamstring strain but Jason Gavin and Brian Shelly should both play having come through the midweek European tie unscathed.
Declan O’Brien underwent surgery on a torn ligament last week and will now start his rehabilitation, which is good news for Drogheda fans.
Galway will travel to United Park with a couple of injury doubts as Regi Nooitmeer and Greg O'Halloran are both carrying knocks.
After struggling in recent weeks with injuries, Tony Cousins’ side welcomed back two absentees for their last league game.
John Russell and Stephen O'Flynn both played in the draw with UCD last Friday week after missing out for the previous six weeks and they should start tonight.
