Rovers go third after win

Waterford United 0 Shamrock Rovers 2

Andy Myler scored twice to move Rovers up to third in the table as boss Pat Scully refused to confirm three players - Derek Pender, David McGill and Robbie Clarke - had been put off the team bus en route to the RSC.

Myler twice brought saves out of Blues' keeper Dean Delaney before putting Rovers in front with a cheeky back-heel from Padraig Amond's cross on 21 minutes.

Blues were woeful and Myler sealed the win with his second five minutes from time when stabbing home after his first effort from David Tyrrell's cross came back off the bar.
