No injury concerns for Longford Town
Longford Town will be hoping to maintain their recent good form against Bohemians in tonight’s eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at Flancare Park, kick-off 7.30pm.
Damien Brennan returns from suspension for the home side as boss Alan Mathews, who has no fresh injury concerns, looks to build on their two successive victories.
Town will be without Mark Rutherford and club captain Daire Doyle who are both injured, while Sean Kelly is suspended for tonight’s game.
Bohs boss Sean Connor may freshen his side up for the trip to the midlands.
New recruits, Mike McGinlay, Ryan McCann and Dean Richardson are still awaiting international clearance to make their competitive debuts but it is expected that they will feature in the squad.
Chris Turner, also signed last week, is expected to miss the next four weeks through injury.
Centre-back Jason McGuinness returns to the squad for this tie but he may not start, so Dean Pooley should continue alongside Liam Burns in his absence.
Harpal Singh remains sidelined but has resumed light training. The former Leeds winger is expected to return into contention in four weeks time.
“Longford have put in some strong performances in recent weeks while our own results have been disappointing,” said Connor.
“We need a good performance to get back up and running in the league again and I hope the new additions to our squad will help us to do that.”
