Tevez wrangle close to resolution

Carlos Tevez should be free to pursue his move to Manchester United today as West Ham are set to announce that they have released him from his contract and registration.

An agreement was struck last night with the Argentina striker’s representatives but needed formal ratification by the Premier League and Football Association.
