Martin Jol believes Tottenham’s new signing Kevin-Prince Boateng represents more than just the future at White Hart Lane.

The Germany Under-21 international arrived from Hertha Berlin yesterday, with Spurs believed to have spent in the region of £5.4million to beat UEFA Cup holders Sevilla to the midfielder’s signature.
