Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce expects to be busy in the transfer market before the start of the Barclays Premier League season – but it looks increasingly likely that Michael Owen will not be leaving the club.

Owen was not fit for action yesterday as the Magpies continued their impressive pre-season form with a comfortable 2-0 win over Juventus.
