Keane bids for Cork sensation O'Donovan
Roy O'Donovan may move to Sunderland and not Fulham if Black Cats’ boss Roy Keane has anything to do with it.
The Sunderland manager has revealed that he is interested in taking the Cork City striker to the Stadium of Light and that an offer has been lodged with the Turner’s Cross side.
O’Donovan’s move to Fulham appeared to be completed but Keane will now talk to O’Donovan to try to tempt him to Sunderland.
"We have made an offer for O'Donovan," said Keane, at a press conference at Turner’s Cross.
"We are aware that the player had planned to travel to London to speak with Fulham and undergo a medical tomorrow but nothing has been signed yet. We hope we are not too late."
Sunderland would also loan the striker back to Cork until the end of the current campaign.
"We hope we are not too late," said Keane.
