Strachan hails 'real player' Beckham

Gordon Strachan is hoping the American public appreciate David Beckham’s “subtle” talent as the England midfielder prepares for his long-awaited Major League Soccer debut.

Celtic manager Strachan was leaving Manchester United to extend his playing career at Leeds in 1989 around the time the 14-year-old Beckham was signing schoolboy terms at Old Trafford.
