A second-half winner from Peter Anderson put Cork City out of the Intertoto Cup in Stockholm.

In a tight game, the Swedes, who hit a post in the first half, got the only score on 52 minutes when Anderson found space on the left of the area to beat Mick Devine with a rising shot.

Cork had their chances to get back into the game with defender Sean Kelly's header from Liam Kearney's corner on 58 minutes bouncing just wide the best of them.

Roy O'Donovan, the eircom League's topscorer, should have done better soon afterwards when his half-hit shot was easily saved by the hammer by goalkeeper.
